December. I wish there was snow on the ground outside and I was sitting in a cabin on the mountains by a warming fire, with a hot chocolate in my hand. But in reality I just got back from my morning run in the freezing cold and the warmest place is my bed. And I can’t even snuggle up in it because I will fall asleep.
This month (well December) I really want to embrace the festivities and I want to try and reflect this through my beauty inspiration. I can’t believe that it’s the last month of 2020 – unreal.
For December I’m really feeling warm burgundy, reds and copper tones – basically streaming on from those beautiful autumnal colours but a little bit extra. I am also dreaming of soft, frosty blues and whites. Which is something different to what I would normally go for but I am excited to experiment.
I think this makeup look is just absolutely stunning. What I love about it is that every thing is quite balanced and middle ground making it very wearable. It accentuates everything, with the natural richness of the lip combo to the subtle smokey brown eye. The addition of the gold shimmer, the gloss and the glowy skin makes everything pop!
There is something about a darker shade of red that I am just drawn too at the moment. My favourite thing this about this look is how the focus is on the matt burgundy lipstick. The rest of the make up look is simple – glowy skin, lushicous mascara and a little bit of contour on the lid. All this doesn’t distract from the star of the show – the lips.
A Pop Of Pink
I have always been a fan of red lipstick paired with a pink/purple eye-shadow – especially this time of year. It’s probably not to everyone’s taste but I love it. I think maybe it’s because I have green eyes so it really makes them pop. This beauty look would be great for a party like your New Years celebrations. What do you think?
Frosty Blue Wash
I’m not sure how well I would be able to pull off this sort of look because I don’t normally go for such cool colours. But I shall give it a try! It’s just so wintery and frost bitten – stunning. By pairing the blue with brown tones e.g. lipstick, bronzer or in your crease it really takes it to another level. Whether you wear this makeup look matt or go for shimmer and gloss, it just works.
