What’s Best Winter Coat For The Money? 7+ KNOCKOUT FINDS

I am very excited about fall fashion this season. Since I am going to be in Switzerland this winter staying with my family the weather will be getting pretty chilly. I thought that I better do some research into some good womens thick warm winter coats and find the best winter coat for the money!

I am super excited about the changing of the seasons this year. Last year I spent in Australia and when I returned winter was over so I feel like it has been two whole years since I have had proper wintery / autumnal weather!

If there is any piece to your wardrobe you should invest in, it’s a winter coat. But there are plenty of stylish and affordable coats out there that won’t break the bank. So I want to focus on them because why should we have to spend loads it when we can find quality pieces for less.

We all need a wearable coat that will stand the test of time, pieces that are well tailored and that look expensive. So I have picked the best coat out there for each price range, so we can get a good insight in how the coats compare. Will we really notice the difference between a £20 coat and a £200 one?

The Best Winter Coat For The Money

The Best Winter Coat For The Money…

1. Best Coat Under £10

So at £10 you would be pretty pushed to find anything amazing quality for such a cheap price. Your best bet is to look for sale items. This drap trench coat from Nasty Gal is reduced from £44 down to £10 so one hell of a bargain! It is lightweight so would be best got in a sized up so you can add additional layers underneath to keep you warm.

2. Best Coat Under £25

This NA-KD Faux Suede Aviator Coat in camel has serious potential. Priced at only £24 it is a steal. Wear with a chunky knit jumper and calf length biker boots for the ultimate cool girl vibes.

3. Best Coat Under £50

As the budget increase it is getting much more difficult for me to choose a winner for each category. There are just so many amazing coats you can get for under £50. This stylish winter coat is from Monki and in a beautiful creamy color. I choose it because the thick, borg material will keep you nice and cosy in the cold winter months. It has slouchy silhouette and can easily be dressed up or down while still looking put together.

Best Coat Under £75

This beautiful number from Topshop has to be one of my favs. It is in a gorgeous soft lemon yellow and has a faux fur collar and cuffs so sure to keep you warm during winter. Currently priced at £74.25 from £90 I would recommend acting fast if you wanted it since there is only size 12 left on ASOS. The Instagram worthy coat might be a little out there for some but I think if you like it just go for it!

5. Best Coat Under £100

This faux sherling lined coat from Mango is a super cosy coat. It reminds me of a long aviator because it is about knee length and has a cross over design. Stay warm in this thick winter coat for £99.99 – just within budget!

6. Best Coat Under £250

On the more pricey side of things we have this lovely puffer trench coat from Arket. It’s something different that I haven’t seen before, the puffer with an oversized trench coat style but it looks great! What do you think? To make it lightweight and insulating, the coat is filled with recycled down and feathers which I think is really good and is also something I haven’t seen done before!

7. Best Coat For The Unlimited Budget…

Since the budget is unlimited I thought that I would have a little fun and show you a few of my favs, because hey, if your budget is unlimited why not buy more than one?!

What I love about this Burberry Taffeta Trench Coat is how much more dramatic it is just by that extra added length. If Sherlock Holmes was a fashionista this is what he would wear! Price is £1290.

This is the Bottega Veneta – Ribbed-waist Double-breasted Leather Trench Coat in green. It is made in Italy and priced at £6295 so not too much really…

Priced at £470 this faux shearling coat from Stand Studio would make an epic addition to anyone’s wardrobe. At this point I’m thinking that I am really draw to shearling this season and no wonder when they are creating pieces like this. The glossy blue faux patent leather would be beautifully vibrant against on those cold winter skies and the white shearling is like the icing on the cake. Perfect!

I hoped I showed you that there really are so many amazing winter coats to choose from this season no matter what your budget. Which coat was your favourite? And if you had an unlimited budget what would you choose?!
