It’s that time of year again. Summer is ending, school is starting and September is almost over! So as the days are getting shorter and the evenings are getting cooler, I have put together 7 transitional autumn fashion pieces that will help you glide gracefully into the next season.

With winter on the horizon we face the yearly dilemma – how on earth do I dress for this weather?! One minute it’s hot, then it’s cold, then rainy and windy – talk about 4 seasons 1 day. It’s that awkward in between period that we never seem to be really prepared for so it makes sense to invest in versatile autumn winter fashion that is a bit more weather appropriate.

I have found some of the best products for each piece – all at different price ranges because you don’t have to spend a fortune to look fabulous!

1. Dad Jeans

Loose fit, a bit androgynous and a slouchy = uber comfortable. Comfy jeans are just what we need after the year spent practically living in lounge wear. We have come to appreciate comfort and this is being reflected in fashion. Autumn winter fashion with have us feeling good as well as looking good this year!

2. Camel Coat

The classic camel coat seems to never go out of style – it makes a great addition to any wardrobe because you can guarantee that you will be able to wear it the following year. Invest in the right camel coat and you will be set for life! There are so many beautiful natural earthy tones out there so something for everybody.

3. Calf / Knee High Boots

Calf high biker boots were all the range this Spring Summer and the best thing is that they are perfect for your transitional autumn fashion. Not to mention they are great for splashing in puddles and kicking around autumns leave!. Upgrade your calf boots to knee high boots if you are looking to freshen up your wardrobe further.

4. Oversized Sweater / Hoodie

Yep and I mean the pants, jacket and waistcoat included. Perfect for work or paired with your favourite trainers for a high fashion day look. The best thing about a full suit is that you can also style all the pieces individually for a more laid-back look. Invest in a high quality tailored suit if you want it to last years to come or get a vibrant suit in on trend colours to mix things up.

I seriously can’t believe how quick this year has flown by. It seems to have been consumed by so much drama across the world! Definitely not what most of us had planned for the year I’d say. But you learn to embrace the change and see the opportunities it presents that you might have missed otherwise.
